If this is true, then why not learn how to improvise better? The discipline of improvisational comedy provides a powerful learning platform to do just that.
We offer diverse improvisational packages that promote collaboration, leadership, and creativity. We create a safe space for participants to play, explore, and experience breakthroughs. No previous improvisational comedy experience needed.
We are please to offer the following three “Power of Improvisation” packages:
Package 1
Set the Stage
This introductory package is designed for teams who would like to infuse creativity into their culture. The improvisation skill of “Yes And” is the focus during this two-hour workshop. Participants will walk away with the following:
- An awareness of the 5 most popular creativity myths and strategies to address them
- An understanding of the improvisational comedy skill “Yes And” as a tool for activating personal creativity
- The opportunity to rehearse “Yes And” & experience your personal creativity
- Creativity Workbook that contains creativity resources, games, and tools
How it is delivered: One two hour workshop focused on the improvisational skill “Yes And”
Participant Size: 10+
Package 2
Take the Stage 1
This package is perfect for teams who want exposure to a broad range of improvisation skills to enhance their leadership ability. A few of these skills include listening at all levels, “Yes And”, adapting in the moment, and celebrating failure. Participants will walk away with the following:
- An understanding of 6 key improvisational comedy skills to foster increased creativity and adaptability as leaders
- The opportunity to rehearse the skills using improvisational comedy games and techniques
- The Power of Improvisation Workbook that includes key lessons, tools, resources and games to support the 6 improvisation skills
How it is delivered: Six workshops total held once a month (90 minutes each) over six months; each workshop focused on a different improvisational skill
Participant Size: 8-20
Package 3
Take the Stage 2
Teams who select this package want to make significant progress towards leadership skills in a relatively short amount of time. Participants will learn 6 improvisation skills as well as complete a DiSC personality assessment to identify key leadership strengths connected to the improvisational skills. Participants will also receive group coaching mid-way through the engagement. Participants will walk away with the following:
- An understanding of 6 key improvisational comedy skills to foster increased creativity and adaptability as leaders
- The opportunity to rehearse the skills using improvisational comedy games and techniques
- The Power of Improvisation Workbook that includes key lessons, tools, resources and games to support the six improvisation skills
- An individualized DiSC assessment that highlights key leadership preferences and strengths
- Ongoing and informal coaching relating to application of the improvisation skills at work
How it is delivered: Two workshops (90 minutes each) over the course of 3 months; each workshop focused on a different improvisational skill, DiSC Assessment for each participant, Mid-point coaching session
